Day 1 - Nairobi
Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport met and assisted by a Adventure and Expeditions representative. Transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at TheStanley Hotel (BB)
Day 2 - Samburu & Buffalo Springs N.R
After breakfast, drive north via Nanyuki and Mt Kenya to the Samburu National Reserve. Rugged and remote, this wildlife reserve provides some the best and most colorful game viewing in the country. Lunch en route at Kentrout Grill. Afternoon game drives en-route to your camp. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Intrepids Camp(LDBB)
Day 3 - Samburu &Buffalo Springs N.R
All day spent in the Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives Meals and overnight at. Samburu Intrepids Camp(LDBB)
Day 4 - Aberdares National Park
After breakfast you will drive northwards through the county’s central province, a fertile and scenic land formally part of the historical ‘White Highlands’ to the lush foothills of the Aberdares Mountain Range to the Outspan Hotel for lunch. After lunch transfer to The Treetops Lodge (children under 5yrs not permitted, light bags only) overlooking a waterhole and salt lick where the ‘Big Five’ occasionally gather for an exhilarating night of wild encounters. Dinner and overnight will be at Treetops Lodge (LDBB)
{Please note that only one small overnight bag (per person) is allowed at Treetops due to the limited room space. Your extra luggage will be deposited at The Outspan Hotel for safe overnight custody. The same will be retrieved the next day before continuing your onward journey. It is advisable to pre-pack the night before traveling to Treetops as there in no room provided for this at the Outspan Hotel}
Day 5 - Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge (LDBB)
Day 6 - MasaiMara Game Reserve
A cooked breakfast will be served at the hotel. After a hearty breakfast, we drive tothe world famous Masai Mara, a National Reserve on Tanzania’s northern border and the northern extension of the great SerengetiNational Park. Arrive in time for lunch at your camp, afternoon game drive will show us the vast expanse and diversity of this great reserve and includes a visit to a local Masai village. Dinner and overnight at Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp (LDBB)
Day 7 - Masai Mara Game Reserve
A cooked breakfast will be served in the restaurant. The Mara offers breathtaking vistas, panoramas of vast rolling plains, hills and woodland groves and views of the MaraRiver that bisects the park. It is home to the largest population of lions in Kenya, and we will see them lazing in the shade of the acacia trees. Vast herds of buffalo, zebra and wildebeest also roam the plains. Impala, gazelle, giraffe and hartebeest grace the landscape and the waters of the MaraRiver are home to crocodiles and hippos. We are up early for a game drive before breakfast to search for predators hunting their prey and to take advantage of the morning light which is exceptional for photography. Later we return to our lodge for a hearty breakfast before meeting our naturalist guide for a mid-morning ‘nature walk” to learn more about this unique park. We end the day with an evening game drive.A spectacular way to view the game and the landscape is by floating above in silence in a hot-air balloon. An optional (own expense) balloon safari will be available this morning. Overnight: Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp (LDBB)
Day 8 - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive to the border town of Ikebana where you will go through the normal immigration and customs procedures. Proceed in Tanzanian vehicle to SerengetiNational Park. Picnic lunch en-route. Afternoon game drive en route to your camp. Dinner and overnight at Kirawira Camp (LDBB)
Day 9 - Serengeti National Park
All day spent in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Kirawira Camp (LDBB)
Day 10 - Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world. Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. En route visit the Olduvai Gorge site of archeological findings, where traces of pre-historic man dating back to 3.5 million years ago have been discovered. Arrive at your lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (LDBB)
Day 11 - Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, depart for half-day tour of the crater floor. Return to your lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (LDBB)
Day 12 - Lake Manyara
Breakfast at your lodge, then drive to Lake Manyara National Park, one of the Rift Valley’s numerous alkaline lakes, which apart from its abundant bird life, is known for its tree-climbing lions. Arrive for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon game drive until sunset. Meals and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge (LDBB)
Day 13 - Departure
After breakfast, drive to Arusha for an early lunch. After proceed to the border town of Namanga where you will clear customs and immigration formalities. Proceed in Kenyan vehicles to Nairobi, Kenya’s colourful capital city. You will be dropped at a city centre hotel (OPTIONAL DAY ROOM). Evening transfer to The Carnivore Restaurant for farewell dinner. After dinner you will be transferred to JomoKenyattaAirport for your departure flight back home. Adventure and Expeditions representative will re-confirm your onward flight, and assist you at check-in.
